All athletics registrations and fees must be completed online. One registration form can be completed for multiple sports. Each child does need to be registered individually.
The Saint James Athletic Program teaches and encourages Christian values as it promotes physical development, athletic skill, team camaraderie, good sportsmanship, and school spirit.
Any student in grades 5-8 may participate in SJS athletics provided the online registration is completed and there is an annual sports physical on file in the school office prior to first practice for the sport. As required by the Archdiocese of Chicago, students who participate in their school’s athletic program will not be allowed to participate (no practices, games, meets, etc.) without the complete and submitted physical.
For the majority of sports, SJS competes in the Northwest Suburban Catholic Conference (NWSCC) and plays against 15 area schools, including St. Alphonsus, St. Anne, St. Colette, St. Emily, St. Francis, Holy Family, St. Hubert, Our Lady of the Wayside, St. Mary, Queen of the Rosary, St. Raymond, St. Theresa, St. Thomas and St. Zachary.
