Enrollment

St. James School currently enrolls just under 500 students from PreK-3 through 8th grade. Our students primarily come to us from Arlington Heights and the neighboring suburbs of Palatine, Mount Prospect, Wheeling and Buffalo Grove.

Class size in the Preschool ranges from 18 to 22 students; Kindergarten classes average 20 students. Grade School class size ranges from 15 to 23; maximum class size in the Upper Level is 27.

Currently at St. James, the PK3 teacher to student ratio is 8 to 1 and the PK4 teacher to student ratio is 9 to 1.  The Kindergarten teacher to student ratio is 15 to 1.
