Preschool

St. James School offers a nurturing environment for a variety of learning activities for 3-year old and 4-year old Preschool students. These activities prepare students for growth in their future education. The Preschool curriculum includes religion and language development activities that promote social interaction and a love of learning through play, song, and story.

Preschool Program Details:

• Three year-olds
  • Half-day morning sessions on Tuesday and Thursday
  • An optional extension program for 3 year-olds begins in January
    • Schedule one month in advance
    • Pay per afternoon

• Four year-olds
  • Half-day morning sessions on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
  • Full-day sessions on Monday Wednesday, and Friday
  • Full-day sessions Monday through Friday
  • Optional afternoon extension available for M-W-F morning students staying for lunch and afternoon of structured activities until the end of the school day.
    • Schedule one month in advance
    • pay per afternoon

• A teacher and an aide are available to students at all times.
• The adult to child ratio is 1:7.
