Welcome to St. James School!

St. James School is an environment where faith, family, and educational excellence reinforce one another all day and every day.

The values, morals, academic excellence - the love, commitment and quality of staff - the support of the entire parish make the years at St. James School a little bit of heaven on earth.  Our children are accepted for the individuals they are, which helps build self-esteem. Finally, the disciplined approach teaches them they are responsible for their actions.

Why St. James School?

St. James School exists to guide our children's developing relationship with God in accordance with the teachings of our Catholic faith and to provide a learning environment that fosters academic excellence.

Our teachers and staff are sensitive to the needs of each student. We know a child's sense of self-esteem must be nurtured so each child feels worthwhile as an individual and confident as part of a group. Only then can a child be challenged to grow and perform to the maximum of his or her potential. Because we work within the structure of a Catholic community, we add an important dimension to our students' outlook. We strive to develop within each one of them concern and compassion for the world they share, and the competence they need to fully manage responsibility.

When Mike and I chose St. James School for our children we knew they would be learning about our faith. I did not expect to be learning prayers and other parts of our faith from them! My favorite is that they say new prayers at night that I've never heard, and we graciously learn them!

Mission

St. James School is dedicated to partnering with parents in modeling Christ. Our mission is to provide:

  • a foundation from which students recognize and develop their personal relationship with God
  • an academic culture of meaningful and continuous learning, sensitive to the gifts of each child
  • tools to shape beliefs, attitudes, values, and practices in accord with the Gospel message of social justice

We are called to walk in faith, live in hope,
and act in love.
