My name is Paige Wentzel and I am so excited to be teaching 4th grade for my third year here at St. James! I graduated from DePaul University in 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, an endorsement in English as a Second Language, and Special Education approval for Early Childhood Education.

This year, I hope to create a positive environment for my students in which they can find a sense of confidence to challenge themselves and to develop an appreciation for not only learning, but for themselves and others. I believe children are our future and it is important to me that they feel capable and successful in my classroom. I can’t wait to share my enthusiasm for learning with your child this year!

“Children only care if we care about them first.”

I forgot my homework, what happens?
1 point is taken off the assignment and the assignment is to be completed during recess that day.

When is homework considered late?
Homework is to be turned in first thing in the morning (preferably before the bell), otherwise it is considered late.

When is departmental (science, math, reading) homework considered late?
Departmental homework is due at the start of each departmental class.

I missed a day (or days) of school, how much time do I have to make up my assignments?
The amount of days missed will be equivalent to the amount of days given to make up the assignment.
