Mr. Brent Adams

6th Grade Teacher

My name is Mr. Brent Adams and I am thrilled to be the 6th grade teacher here at St. James! I have been a Catholic School teacher for fifteen years around the Chicagoland area as well as Indianapolis, Indiana. I earned my Master’s in Elementary Education at Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL in 2005. I obtained a middle school math endorsement for middle school as well. Furthermore, I was able to get further insight and work in the special education department last year at Deer Path Middle School in Lake Forest, IL. I feel that there is something said when you are able to educate but also worship and discuss the Catholic faith openly. I am excited to be able to continue my journey and stewardship here at St. James!

My wife, Amy and I moved to Arlington Heights in October of 2018. We have embraced the community and love everything this area brings to us. I am looking forward to working with the 6th grade students and can’t wait to meet everyone and start this great year!

We will have a Menu Option for the last part of the book where students can choose between a short-answer test, vocabulary summary, or comic book plot activity in lieu of a test. Students will have until Wednesday, October 16th to complete.
