Student Drop-off/Pick-up

Safely getting your children to and from school is our number one priority. It is imperative that every parent read and follow the procedures below to ensure the safety of all students.

Full-day PreK4 through 8^th Grade Students

Arrival Procedures:

• Students should be dropped off between 8:20 and 8:45.  The first bell at 8:45 a.m. is the tardy bell when prayer and announcements begin.
• Upon arrival, all students will go directly into the building.
• Teacher supervision begins in the classrooms at 8:20 a.m. No student will be allowed in the building before that time without permission.
• If your needs dictate that your student must regularly arrive before 8:20 a.m., you must sign-up for Before School Care. There is a fee for this service; please contact the office for more information and to register.
• Vehicles drop off students along the west side of the school.  Do not stop in front of the doors; instead, pull up to the fire hydrant or behind the last car in front of you. Students exit from the passenger side of the vehicle.  Staff members and student assistants aide in disembarkment and escort younger students into the building.  All vehicles depart using the north exit onto Arlington Heights Road.
• Busses arrive in the east parking lot; a crossing guard and staff members assist bussers and walkers from the east side in crossing Arlington Heights Road.  Staff members also serve as crossing guards for walkers at the south and north entrances on the west side.
• Late arrivals or visits to the school must enter the north school office door and be buzzed into the building, sign-in and wear a visitor name badge. All doors are locked once the tardy bell rings.

Dismissal procedures:

• Half-day Kindergarten students are dismissed at 11:30 a.m. from the west doors.
• Full day PreK 4 students are dismissed at 3:25 p.m.
• K-8^th dismissal is at 3:35 p.m.
• Vehicles are asked to park stadium style in the west parking lot.
  • Parents of Kindergartens and younger grades are asked to come to the west doors under the canopy to retrieve their child from the teacher.
  • All students are supervised by staff members as they make their way to parked vehicles.
  • Once all students have boarded, a staff member signals vehicles to begin egress from the lot, row by row.
  • Families who need to leave quickly may park in the north lot, retrieve their child, and drive slowly along the driveway, or may park in the east lot behind the church.
• A crossing guard and staff members assist bussers and walkers in crossing Arlington Heights Road.  Staff members also assist walkers at the south and north entrances on the west side.

Half-day Preschool

Arrival and Dismissal Procedures:

• PreK students should be dropped off between 8:50 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and enter the north double beige doors where staff members greet them and take them to the classroom.
• PreK students are dismissed at 11:30 am at the west doors.
• Vehicles are asked to park stadium style in the west parking lot.  Parents should come to the west doors under the canopy to retrieve their child.  Once all students are in their vehicles, a staff member signals vehicles to begin egress from the lot, row by row.
