PreSchool and Kindergarten

It is exciting to have our youngest students start their educational careers at Saint James School. PreK-3 and PreK-4 programs offer three and four-year-olds a nurturing Catholic environment for creative play, socialization, and independence. The Kindergarten program provides a similar environment; but, with a stronger academic focus. The half-day and full-day programs include math, writing, reading, social studies, science, physical education, music, art, religion, and weekly liturgy.

Emphasis is placed on early reading and comprehension foundations through the use of the Jolly Phonics Program, Heggerty Phonemic Awareness Program, Literacy Centers, and differentiated learning. Students go on field trips that enhance the curriculum and parent involvement and participation is welcomed!
