A New School for a New School Year!
The week of Orientation has arrived! My staff and I are unpacking boxes and preparing classrooms for the arrival of your children. The new school is absolutely amazing and we know you will be thrilled!
Please note: change in place for Orientation Day on August 29th. Orientation Day will be held in the East Side Lunch Room (old grade school building).
Families with last names A-M, please join us from 10am-11am and families with last names N-Z, please join us from 11am-Noon in the lunch room to:
- Learn about drop-off & pick-up procedures
- See the new computers and see the SmartBoards
- Purchase or order uniforms from Educational Outfitters
- Pay fees and pick-up school supplies
The new drop-off and pick-up procedures are available in the Student Drop-off/Pick-up heading of the Parents section of the website.
The current grade school office will be staffed August 25 - August 29 from 8am-3:30pm. The new offices will be open in early September. Please be patient as we work through our final days of construction.
We are all very anxious and excited about our new school building and are so incredibly thankful to all of you who have shared your time, talent and treasure to make it a reality.
I look forward to seeing you on Orientation Day!
Enjoy your last week of summer with your children and families as you walk in faith, live in hope and act in love.

Building Bright Futures
A St. James School education prepares students to take the next step. SJS graduates excel at Hersey and Prospect High Schools and gain admission to, and excel, at St. Viator, Loyola Academy, Notre Dame High School, and other selective schools.
...Because of the great education I received at St. James, I am now enrolled at St. Viator and am taking all honors classes...
Tim Hogaboom
Freshman, St. Viator
Test results show that on average SJS 8th graders outscore 8th graders from other area schools. This reflects the bright futures of SJS graduates and the preparation they received.
Faith Comes First
Religious education, religious environment, and weekly mass create a culture of kindness, consideration and self-discipline.
...St. James School is such a wonderful place for our children to learn, share our faith, and create life-long friends...
