Saint James Church on a beautiful summer day Saint James students attending mass

Summer is Here!

What an amazing year!  We've all worked hard and now look forward to a blessed and relaxing summer!  Please remember Father Bill's message to all of you: Walk in Faith, Live in Hope and Act in Love, AND READ this summer!  The summer reading lists are found on the calendar page of the website.

The school office will be staffed:

  • June 15-19:  8:00am until 12:00pm
  • August 10-14:  8:00am until 12:00pm
  • August 17-21:  8:00am until 3:30pm

During the summer, mail and messages will be checked each week.  I will also be around during the summer, so feel free to stop by for an informal visit or call to make an appointment!

God bless you,

Mrs. Judy Pappas, Principal

St. James School is a Blue Ribbon School!

The Blue Ribbon School award is the highest honor bestowed by the U.S. Department of Education and recognizes schools for their superior academics or dramatic gains in student achievement.  SJS won based on its consistently outstanding test scores achieved over the past few years.

Building Bright Futures

A St. James School education prepares students to take the next step. SJS graduates excel at Hersey and Prospect High Schools and gain admission to, and excel, at St. Viator, Loyola Academy, Notre Dame High School, and other selective schools.

...Because of the great education I received at St. James, I am now enrolled at St. Viator and am taking all honors classes...

St. Viator Sophomore

Test results show that on average SJS 8th graders outscore 8th graders from other area schools. This reflects the bright futures of SJS graduates and the preparation they received.

Faith Comes First

Religious education, religious environment, and weekly mass create a culture of kindness, consideration and self-discipline.

...St. James School is such a wonderful place for our children to learn, share our faith, and create life-long friends...
