School Year Fees

This school year we have integrated our school year fees into our online tuition system SmartTuition. The grade level and family fees will be added to your September 1st bill. FSA Annual Fund Donation

FSA Annual Fund FAQ’S
Where does the money for the Annual Fund go? The FSA covers a vast list of regularly budgeted expenses each year such as Angels in the Classroom, Cultural Arts, Catholic Schools Week, Graduation Dinner Dance, Hospitality, May Crowning, Recess Equipment, and Staff Recognition. Last year the money provided by the Annual Fund was able to help finance additional non-budgeted expenses including: water bottle fillers, technology purchases which included iPads for 6th graders, the 7th and 8th grade Digital Citizenship Conference, “Thank You” yard signs for teachers and 8th grade graduates, school improvements for our new Bulldog Commons, and money towards our new cafeteria.

How can I pay the FSA Annual Fund? 
1. Online with Faith Direct using this link: https://membership.faithdirect.net/givenow/IL859/28747
2. Paper Orientation Day Form: Please be sure to check the box at the bottom of the form for “FSA Annual Fund” and include your donation in your Orientation Day check.

Why were fundraisers eliminated?
○ Fundraisers required parent volunteer time and effort without substantial profit. Last year, with 79% family participation, the FSA Annual Fund raised $34,000. This brought in over $10,000 more than the amount raised through dues and fundraising.

How long do I have to pay the FSA Annual Fund?
○ You may contribute to the FSA Annual Fund at any time throughout the school year. If you choose to donate after Orientation Day, please submit your donation through Faith Direct.

What is the suggested donation?
○ $200, however all donations will be graciously accepted!


Remote Learning

Remote learning materials pick up will be on Tuesday, August 25, from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm at the West Canopy next to the SJS parking lot. Students will receive all their textbooks, workbooks, school-issued iPad, and other necessary materials. 

In addition to materials pick up, remote learning families will have zoom call orientation meetings. These meetings will be segmented by your child’s grade level and which programs they use. Zoom links for the orientation meetings will be sent directly to family members within 24 hours of the meeting. See the chart below for more information.

Orientation - Student Information


Before & After Care

If your family will be requiring before and aftercare services, please fill out the short form below to help us prepare for the school’s extended care needs. This school year, students will be grouped in before and aftercare by their cohorts. Students will be provided with independent activities or group activities that can be participated in from a distance.

Band

We are in the midst of solidifying safe protocols for our band program for the 2020-21 school year. If you are interested in having your child participate in the band this year, please fill out the form below. The band program will begin after labor day for grade levels 5-8. Grade 4 will begin the second trimester. We will send out more information soon regarding the safety protocols and cost of the program. 7th/8th Grade Additional Supplies Needed

We are asking that all 7th & 8th Grade students purchase the following school supplies within the first week of school.
1 box crayons (thin, 24 ct.)
1 box markers (thin,8 ct.)
1 box colored pencils (24 ct.) 

Also, all 8th grade students should come to school on the first day with their iPad charged and ready to go.
