SJS students were involved in a wide variety of learning this week including…

… building mousetrap cars for their physics unit…

…using live plants to complete an inquiry unit in seventh grade science…

… creating instruments for the STEAM Fair…

…and visiting Brookfield Zoo!

Thank you to our teachers for making this experiential learning available for our children!!

Thank you to the Maloney Family, Isabel Klimowicz, and Victoria Rzaca who served in a special way at this past Sunday’s 10:00 Mass.

We appreciate all those who stepped up this  year to fill special roles at the 2nd Sunday of the month Masses.

Great work has been accomplished by the SJS Girls On the Run team! Girls on the Run inspires girls to recognize their inner strength and celebrate what makes them one of a kind. Coaches Mrs. McEnerney, Miss Kenny, Mrs. McGowan, and Emily Powers led the SJS team through  curricula which included discussions, activities, and running games. Over the course of the program, our third grade girls developed  skills to help them navigate their worlds and establish a lifetime appreciation for health and fitness. The program culminates with girls positively impacting their communities leading through example.  The girls learned many skills such as understanding themselves, valuing relationships and teamwork while also being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K event!

Thanks to everyone who took a few moments to complete the mid-year family satisfaction survey. In all, 98 families participated in the survey, a number that is similar to previous surveys.  Thank you so much for your time and effort to provide SJS with your feedback and comments. This information will be used by the new SJS Principal and the School Council to implement initiatives and address concerns.  We will also work to keep and improve the programs that earn SJS high marks for academic education, instruction in the Catholic faith, and your overall experience at the school.
