During this season of Lent, everyone at SJS has been walking with Jesus by dedicating themselves to extra acts of kindness and positivity.

Each week everyone writes an activity that they will try to perform during the week on a purple strip of paper.

As Lent has progressed we’ve watched the paper chains grow.

Our goal is to make them long enough to connect to one another and extend all the way down each wing of the school.

Everyone has been doing great to contribute to the kindness and positivity at SJS!

We look forward to seeing the final length of the chains next week!

Today students had a double treat!! All school Mass returned to church as our newly renovated building reopened! It was also the FSA’s Parent Led Mass during which moms and dads did the readings, commentary, prayer of the faithful, and sang as a choir! We even had mom servers!

It was a glorious celebration of the faith and generosity of St. James Parish and School!! Thank you, FSA, for modeling your faith to our children!

Uniform shorts are back in season—as of April 15! Please make sure that your child’s shorts are within uniform regulation length— “shorts must be no shorter than two (2) inches above the knee”…SJS Parent/Student Handbook p.33. While you are checking, please take note of the length of girls’ skorts as well. While we love our uniform plaid, our young ladies are growing taller and many current skorts are exceeding the limit of “school appropriate” . Thank you for your cooperation with this regulation.

There are plenty of gently used uniform pieces at school. Should your child’s legs have grown since fall, there may be shorts available for you!

Tuition Agreements are being sent home today. Please return them by Wednesday, April 17. The form can also be found by CLICKING HERE.

Saint James School strives to keep tuition rates as reasonable as possible. CLICK HERE to read an important letter from Father Matt and Mrs. Pappas.

Knowing that Catholic education would not be possible for every family who would desire the opportunity, tuition aid is available for registered parishioners with students in grades 1 through 8. SMART Tuition Aid processes applications for Tuition Aid for SJS.
