FROM THE PRINCIPAL

SJS is proud of our teachers continuing to build their professional toolkits! Our life long learners are creating more engaging learning atmospheres for SJS students.

With the arrival of Advent this coming Sunday, our church begins a new year! Advent is a daily reminder that this season is a time for prayer and preparation. The children all celebrate using the classroom Advent wreathes and special prayers and songs. You are invited to celebrated with the St. James Parish community on Sundays as well as in your homes. You can say special prayers for the season or make your own Advent calendar or an Advent wreath.

However you mark the season, it’s like other things in life…the better one prepares, the deeper the satisfaction in the celebration.

Happy New Year!

HOUSEHOLDS OF FAITH      FROM THE DESK OF MRS. PAT FARRELL

Over the last couple of weeks, we have all had more than the usual amount of activity in our homes.

People have been coming and going and those of us who have “semi-independent” young adults most likely asked more than a few questions such as “Where are you going?” (especially when handing over the car keys) “Are you ready yet?” “Who are you waiting for”?   CLICK HERE to read more.
