FROM THE DESK OF MRS. PAPPAS

October is one of the months that the Church dedicates to Mother Mary. During this month we honor of the power of praying the rosary along with so many other Marian prayers. Our students are learning more about the rosary and its recitation in school. How wonderful it would be for you to support this devotion as a small group or as a family!

Students have the opportunity to join schoolmates praying the rosary every Monday after school in the chapel. We hope to see more Bulldogs there!

Queen of the Rosary, pray for us!

Congratulations to SJS teachers, Sharon Dillon, Nicole Long, and Laura Tambling! Each of them has achieved the status of Apple Certified Teacher! CLICK HERE to read more.

Our shared “Household of Faith” – the Archdiocese of Chicago – invited members of all Archdiocesan parishes, offices, and programs to a two day summit this week, called “Renew My Church”. CLICK HERE to read more.

Do you love volunteering in the classroom? Artist Awareness needs a few more volunteers!  No art experience is necessary.  Artist Awareness volunteers visit classrooms on select Mondays throughout the year to teach a mini lesson about important artists.  Each classroom visit lasts 15 minutes and materials are provided.

A brief orientation meeting will be held on Thursday, October 11th at 9 a.m. and the first presentation date is October 22nd.  Please contact Lisa Woods (lisawoods79@gmail.com) if you are interested in helping or if you would like more information.
